Performances

Step into my music room!

Over the years, I’ve recorded a mix of my favorite tunes—timeless standards, gospel, classic rock, original compositions and even a little blues for good measure. Usually it’s on the piano, sometimes the guitar, and occasionally you’ll even catch me singing. If I look a bit “heavier” in some videos, that was before (or during) my health and fitness journey.

Music is meant to be shared. I hope these performances inspire you to explore your own. Keep an eye on my Chord Power page… coming soon, where I’ll help you unlock the joy of playing your own piano favorites!

The Land I’ve Waited For
My original song celebrating my immigrant journey and the joy of being Canadian.
Written from the heart, this song tells my story of finding a new home and embracing the beauty, freedom, and spirit of Canada. A tribute to the land that welcomed me and the people who make it special.

My God Is Real – Gospel with a Blues Rock Twist
A heartfelt gospel classic, reimagined on piano with a driving blues rock groove.
In this soulful performance, I bring fresh energy to the timeless gospel song “My God Is Real” with a blues-infused piano style and an enthusiastic vocal delivery. Whether you’ve heard this song in church or it’s brand new to you, I hope it moves you to tap your foot... and your heart.

Route 66 – Bobby Troupe’s Timeless Road Song
A musical journey down America’s “Mother Road” — from Chicago to LA.
Written by Bobby Troupe in 1946 and recorded by countless greats, Route 66 is more than a song — it’s an anthem to freedom, travel, and the romance of the open road. In this performance, I sing and play piano in tribute to the legendary highway that linked the Midwest to the West Coast. Lee and I have driven this road many times on our Piano Workshop tours, and every mile carries a memory. From roadside diners to desert sunsets, this is my homage to the road that still calls to dreamers.

Unchained Melody — Instrumental Piano

Instrumental Piano — Unchained Melody

A love theme that refuses to age. First written for the 1955 film Unchained (Alex North & Hy Zaret) and later reborn through Ghost (1990), “Unchained Melody” has lived a thousand lives. This solo piano rendition leans into space, songlike phrasing, and slow-bloom dynamics—letting the melody breathe the way it does when you’re alone at the keys and the room gets quiet. I carried this arrangement across the U.S. and Canada during my workshop tours because it consistently unlocked something in people—the courage to sit down and play the songs they love. Put on headphones, take a deep breath, and let it wash over you.

Something – Piano & Vocals
A George Harrison classic from The Beatles — piano & voice, with the guitar solo reimagined on keys.
Written by George Harrison for Abbey Road, “Something” is one of those melodies that lingers long after the last note. In this performance I translate Harrison’s signature guitar lines to the piano, letting the phrasing sing while the harmony breathes. Personal note: I was blessed to see The Beatles, (voted the greatest band of the 20th Century!) live in July 1966. Thank you, Dad, for taking a wide-eyed nine-year-old to a night I’ll never forget.

When Answers Aren’t Enough

Piano & Vocals — When Answers Aren’t Enough

I played this song by Scott Wesley Brown at my daughter’s memorial service in 2016.
God has given me the “peace that surpasses all understanding” in the light of unimaginable tragedies in my life. I lost another daughter in July 2025, and I can only attribute the courage to keep going, to my faith in Christ.
As Scott Wesley Brown wrote, “Instead of asking why did it happen? Think of where it could lead you from here. And as your pain is slowly easing, you can find a greater reason… to live your life triumphantly through the fears!”
It’s times like these that I know, deep in my heart, yes, deep in my soul, my God is REAL!
